PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PPV based compound for forming the buffer layer of a TFT capable of enhancing arrangement of an organic semiconductor, and to provide a plate display employing the TFT. SOLUTION: A PPV based compound for forming the buffer layer of a thin film transistor represented by chemical formula 1 is provided, wherein R represents a C1-C20 silyl group having substituted cyclohexyl or phenyl, m is an integer of 2 or 4, and n is an integer of 1-3,000.
