PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component discriminating system capable of highly accurately detecting the disconnection defect of the coil component in a short time, and appropriately selecting the coil component of the disconnection defect. SOLUTION: The discriminating system 10 of the coil component is provided with a disconnection defect detection sensor 24, a measurement part 48, and a drive control unit 50. The disconnection defect detection sensor 24 has a core provided with a gap through which the coil component can pass and a coil provided on the core. The measurement part 48 measures and detects the current and voltage of the coil of the disconnection defect detection sensor 24. The measurement part 48 obtains the Q of the coil from the detected current and voltage of the coil, and judges the presence/absence of the disconnection defect of the coil component on the basis of the obtained Q. By a cam, a solenoid 38, and a die; the coil component 14 judged as the disconnection defect is cut off from a lead frame 12 on the basis of a judged result in the measurement part 48.
