PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus whose reliability is improved by preventing damage resulting from deformation of a frame. SOLUTION: On a rear face substrate 12 constituting an envelope of the image display apparatus, a reinforcing frame 30 for reinforcing the envelope is installed. The reinforcing frame comprises: a plate-like frame body 31 opposing the outer face of the rear face substrate; a plurality of elastically deformable fitting parts 70 each fixed to the frame main body; and a fixing member 72 fixed to each fitting part and capable of fixing an incidental member.
