PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sounding jar by water drops and an upper pot for the sounding jar by water drops that are maintenance-free and installed anywhere and can continuously generate a sound with a short time from single-time water injection to the generation of the sound. SOLUTION: The sounding jar 1 by water drops of the present invention has a lower jar 11 and the upper pot 12 mounted on the lower jar 11, and the upper pot 12 has an inner annular wall 14 which is annularly formed upward, a water storage portion T which is formed outside the inner annular wall 14, and an inner annular portion 17 where a tip formed inside the inner annular wall 14 forms an inner annular hole 16, and also has a constriction hole 15 for guiding water in the water storage portion T onto the inner annular portion 17. Further, a portion of the reverse surface of the upper pot 12 which comes into contact with the lower jar 11 is preferably a curved surface which is downward convex in the sounding jar 1 by water drops.
