PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake for a wheel provided with a constraining element of a elastically operating braking band. SOLUTION: This brake for the wheel is provided with a first element integrated with the wheel and a second element provided with an annular strip on which a brake pad acts. The first and second elements have each hollow part (16, 17) corresponding to a pair for forming a receiving seats of the constraining element, which is composed of a substantially cylindrical pin around a side face 14a and is arranged in such a way that an elastically deformable annular element 15 remains in a condition in which it is inserted and nipped between a wall of the receiving seat and a side face 14a of the pin to enable corresponding travel of the brake between a hollow part of the first element and a hollow part of the second element.
