PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch device with a brake for maintaining stable and reliable clutch operation and brake operation. SOLUTION: The clutch device with the brake comprises a shoe housing 2 fixed to a rotating shaft 1, a clutch housing 3 fixed to a position in the direction of the rotating shaft and externally fitted to the shoe housing 2, a clutch means 7 for rotating the clutch housing 3 in association with the shoe housing 2 whose rotating speed is increased, a drive housing 4 displaceable in the direction of the rotating shaft and externally fitted to the clutch housing 3, an associative cam means 5 for ferrying around the drive housing 4 in association with the clutch housing 3 whose rotating speed is increased, and a brake means 6 for braking the drive housing 4 whose rotating speed is reduced. The associative cam means 5 consists of cam grooves 51, 52, 53, 54 inclined to the rotating direction and engaging balls 55, 56 to be moved along the cam grooves 51, 52, 53, 54.
