PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine eliminating a problem that a gear scoops oil in a gear case at a time of inclined operation. SOLUTION: In the engine having an oil pan arranged below a cylinder block 1, having a crank shaft 3 built in a fore-and-aft direction, having a time regulation transmission gear train 4 arranged on one end part of a front and a rear end parts of a cylinder block 1, and having the time regulation transmission gear train 4 stored in a gear case 5, a lower part of a lowest gear 10 of composition gears of the time regulation gear train 4 is covered by an oil immersion prevention wall 11 in making communication between a bottom part 6 of a gear case 5 and the oil pan 2 with an oil flow out hole 7.
