The present invention relates to a power-free light emitting device and method for safety indication using external light wherein a solar panel receives all of light sources around like sunlight, the light from front lamps of a vehicle, the light from neon signs, and so on, and the received light is emitted to the outside through a plurality of light-emitting diodes, thereby enabling the device of this invention to be semi-permanently usable, without any need of power supply, thereby exerting its function excellently under relatively bad weather conditions where it rains or it is foggy, and thereby enabling a driver to observe and recognize all kinds of safety indication devices even at a substantially far distance during day and night time. The power-free light emitting device for safety indication includes: a solar panel (1) for receiving the external light to convert the received light into available energy (electric energy); a controller (5) for transmitting the available energy of the solar panel (1) to a plurality of light-emitting sections (3) within a range of a maximum capacity of available energy and for controlling the flickering time and velocity of light and the strength of light generated from the plurality of light-emitting sections (3); and the plurality of light-emitting sections (3) for receiving the available energy from the controller and irradiating the light corresponding to the capacity of available energy to the outside.
|
