FIELD: mechanical engineering; gas-turbine engines. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to process of noise damping of compressor stations and test bays for gas-turbine engines. Proposed silencer has cylindrical base rigidly connected with intake branch pipe. Noise-absorbing unit secured on base consists of separate series-connected sections, each being made of layer of noise-absorbing material lined from inside with perforated envelope, and from outside, with rigid material. Ratio of inner diameter of silencer D to diameter of inlet air duct (intake branch pipe) of silencer B is within D/B=1.0-1.5; ratio of outer diameter of inlet air duct of silencer B is within C/B=1.5-2.0; ratio of length of silencer section b to diameter of inlet air duct of silencer B is b/B=2.0-7.0. Sections of noise-absorbing unit are made in for of triangle or ellipse in section square to axis of silencer. Filters are mounted at inlet of intake and outlet of exhaust branch pipes of silencer to entrap oil-containing components. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency of noise damping. ^ 3 cl, 1 dwg |
