<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a delineator which can enhance attractiveness while suppressing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal sheet 2, where molecules in a liquid crystal are oriented in a voltage-applied state so as to allow light transmission and where the molecules in the liquid crystal are disoriented in a voltage-eliminated state so as to block light, is attached to a front surface of a retroreflective prismatic reflector 4. When the application of a voltage to the sheet 2 and the elimination of the voltage from the sheet 2 are alternately repeated by controlling the voltage to the sheet 2, the sheet 2 switches between transparent and opaque states in each case. Thus, since reflection luminance while a headlight of a vehicle and the like are illuminated with the delineator R can be changed, the attractiveness of the delineator R to a driver can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
