摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing an optical device by which the manufacture of the optical device used for a projector provided with a projecting position adjustment device can be made efficient and increased in speed and the optical device can be highly accurately manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing apparatus comprises: a holding section that holds, in a specific position, a support structure on which a color composing optical device is supported and fixed; a six-axes position adjustment device 30 for adjusting the position of a light modulator; an adjusting light source device 81 for introducing a luminous flux for the position adjustment; a luminous flux detecting device 40 for detecting image light via the light modulator and the color composition optical device; a dimension measuring section 60 for measuring the thickness dimension of the projecting position adjustment device in the direction of an optical axis; and a control section 73 for controlling the drive of a moving mechanism 43 of the luminous flux detecting device 40. The control section 73 has: a manufacturing error determination section 735 for comparing the measured thickness dimension with a thickness dimension on design stored in a memory 734, thereby calculating a dimension difference; and a drive control section 733 for displacing the CCD camera 41 of the luminous flux detecting device 40 in the direction of the optical axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
