PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly correct a black offset level at the time of leaking. SOLUTION: When offset potential deviates by X[V] to clamp potential (Vcc/2); a clamp switch SW2 is turned ON during an L period of a clamp pulse, and a proper voltage is output from a DAC 56 and impressed to the clamp potential with an emitter follower circuit of a clamp potential drive circuit 55. Consequently, the clamp potential during the L period of the clamp pulse is set to Vcc/2+X[V]. By this, proper sample hold output can be obtained since it is in a state that "an offset level of an image signal during an effective pixel period is equal to clamp potential".
