PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device on which fixed contacts are arranged on a fixed support member, movable contacts capable of contacting the fixed contacts are supported by a movable member in floating, cam ridges formed into ridge shape composed of ascending parts and descending parts successively extending in a line in a moving direction of the movable member to a side making the movable contacts contact the fixed contacts are arranged on the support member, and a contact engaging part contacting the cam ridge is held by the movable member, while being energized toward cam ridge side by a spring; prevented from generation of adverse effects on contact property accompanied by the switching of the movable contacts and the fixed contacts. SOLUTION: The cam ridges 133, 134 are formed so that the contact of the movable contact to the fixed contact is started midway where the contact engaging part 126 ascends the ascending parts 133a, 134a, so that separation of the movable contact from the fixed contact is started midway where the contact engaging part 126 descend the ascending parts 133a, 134a.
