PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator capable of automatically alarming in the case wherein abnormal vibration of an elevator occurs. SOLUTION: The elevator car 1 having a get-on/off opening 2 and a car door 3 for opening/closing the opening 2 is elevated inside a hoistway. An alarm device 10 is fitted to a side plate 4 of the elevator car 1, and a vibration detecting unit 11 is incorporated in the alarm device. When abnormal vibration of the elevator car 1 occurs, the vibration detecting unit detects it, and a control means 13 operates the alarm device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
