PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap which inhibits the breakage of bridges during a skirt tightening process. SOLUTION: According to a manufacturing method for the cap 10, the cap 10 includes a top board, and a peripheral wall substantially extending down from the peripheral edge of the top board. The peripheral wall is provided with an easy-breakable part 17 which has a plurality of slits 17a extending circumferentially and are formed circumferentially via the bridges 17b. A first bead 16a is formed continuously on the upper end of the easy-breakable part 17, and a second bead 16b is formed continuously on the lower end of the easy-breakable part 17. The first and second beads 16a and 16b are connected via the bridges 17b. Out of the bridges 17b and the first and second beads 16a and 16b, at least one end 17d or 17e of each bridge 17b that is closer to the first bead 16a or second bead 16b is pressed radially to reform the bridge 17b after the formation of the easy-breakable part 17 and the first and second beads 16a, 16b.
