PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking device capable of efficiently removing ink stains on an ink discharge face of an ink-jet head in a space-saving manner. SOLUTION: A wiper mechanism, which wipes off the ink discharge face of the ink-jet head 6, is integrally provided to a substrate transfer part 4 reciprocating in-between a marking position while holding a substrate 12.
