PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a decorative tile enhanced in the adhesion strength of plate glass and a tile, and the decorative tile manufactured by this manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The decorative tile comprises: the tile 2; and the plate glass 3 welded to the surface of the tile 2, and is manufactured by bonding a glass fine particle-containing slurry 4 to the tile 2. A part of the glass fine particles in the slurry enters the voids of the surface of the tile 1 accompanied by the penetration of the slurry into the tile 2 and the remainder of them remains on the surface of the tile 1 to form a glass fine particle layer 4'. The plate glass 3 is superposed thereon and the whole is baked at a temperature higher than the softening temperature of the plate glass 3 but lower than the melting point thereof. By this baking, the glass fine particle layer 4' and the glass fine particles entering the voids of the tile are softened and the glass softened matter produced in the voids and the glass softened matter produced in the glass fine particle layer 4' are continuously integrated while the glass softened matter originating from the glass fine particle layer 4' is bonded to the plate glass 3.
