The method involves using signals, which interconnect two input signal samples, as a pump signal. A probe signal is used by producing a clock pulse from one of the input signal samples. A Boolean equation is received while the probe signal and the pump signal are executed incidentally at the same time on an optical semiconductor amplifier (SOA) in opposite direction, where wavelengths of the probe signal and the pump signal are different. An independent claim is also included for a device for realizing a full-optical NOR-logic device.
