<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device and a peripheral environment cleaning method in the image formation device which neutralize and remove fine powder scattered from a recording agent such as ink or toner by utilizing ions such as negative ions, clean periphery of the image formation device, and improve image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The image formation device has an image formation part which forms an image on a recording medium by use of the recording agent such as ink or toner. The image formation device has an ion generator 4 which generates ions such as negative ions, an ion supply means 5 which supplies the ions generated by the ion generator 4 to the image forming surface of the recording medium 3 in order to neutralize the fine powder of the scattered recording agent by the ions, and a filter means 6 which removes the fine powder of the ink neutralized by the ions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
