<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for securely transmitting an IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identifier), utilizing a public key and a secret key in a WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) asynchronous 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) mobile communications system. <P>SOLUTION: The method for securely transmitting an international mobile subscriber identifier (IMSI) includes a step in which the transmitting side executes encryption of an IMSI and generation of a first MAC (Message Authentication Code) using a public key, and transmits the encrypted IMSI and the first MAC, and a step in which the receiving side receives the transmitted encrypted IMSI and first MAC decodes the encrypted IMSI, and determines the completeness of the IMSI, based on the first MAC. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
