<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic element with an excellently lower profile that prevents the increase of manufacturing cost by simplifying the manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic element 10 is provided with magnetic layers 2 (2a, 2b) arranged on the upper and lower parts of the magnetic element 10, a coil 1 sandwiched by the magnetic layers 2 (2a, 2b), and terminals for external connection from both ends of the coil 1 and its tapped position existing on the way of the coil 1. In the element, a relation expressed in Equation (1): ((μr*g(t<SB>1</SB>+t<SB>2</SB>)/4)<SP>1/2</SP>>w/2) holds, wherein w is a widest width of the magnetic element 10,μr is a specific permeability of the magnetic layers 2, g is a distance between the magnetic layers arranged on the upper and lower parts of the magnetic element 10, and t<SB>1</SB>, t<SB>2</SB>are the thicknesses of the magnetic layers arranged on the upper and lower parts of the magnetic element 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
