<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device having a structure that stably holds operating parts when no input operation is performed. <P>SOLUTION: The input device M includes electromagnetic conversion elements 3-1, 3-2 disposed within a predetermined plane, magnetic field generating means 1-1, 1-2 being opposed to the electromagnetic conversion elements and having their respective opposite sides tilted relative to the predetermined plane, and position detecting parts D-1, D-2 that detect position according to the output signals of the electromagnetic conversion elements when the electromagnetic conversion elements and the magnetic field generating means move relative to each other in a direction parallel to the predetermined plane. The input device M includes a moving body 40 that moves either the electromagnetic conversion elements or the magnetic field generating means parallel to the predetermined plane; retaining members 20, 30 for retaining the moving element so as to be reciprocable; and friction generating means 47, 48 for generating a friction force that acts to keep the moving element in a fixed position on each retaining member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
