<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine capable of securely drawing paper sheets in process and allowing an operator to easily take out a drawn paper sheet. <P>SOLUTION: This sheet processing machine comprises a back end gripper system 43, 56 for accepting the selected paper sheet 22 from a first gripper system and a drive device 49, 57 driving the back end gripper system 43, 56 separately from the first gripper system while the paper sheets 22 are accepted from the carrying gripper.
