<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal with a sensor in which a user is prevented from accidentally covering a light receiving portion for detecting open/close state and inadvertently interrupting power supply of a display section to extinguish a display while suppressing increase in number of components or mounting area. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal 10 is constituted by coupling a first case 14 and a second case 16 rotatably at a hinge portion 12. When the first case 14 and the second case 16 face each other and light 18 from the light emitting portion 20a at a display section 22 provided in the first case 14 is reflected by a reflective member 26 in the second case 16 and received at a predetermined number or more of light receiving portions 20 out of a plurality of light receiving portions 20, a control section 24 detects closed state of the portable terminal 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
