PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the general calling system of a mobile communication system in which the load on a network can be lessened by preventing traffic from increasing. SOLUTION: The mobile communication system comprises a mobile communication terminal 101, a plurality of wireless base stations 110-112 installed to perform wireless communication with the mobile communication terminal 101, an exchange 120 to which these wireless base stations 110-112 are connected, and a database 150 for storing the information about positional registration of the mobile communication terminal 101 connected with the exchange 120 wherein a general calling message from the exchange 120 is not transmitted to all wireless base stations 110-112S belonging to a calling area (PA) 160 but transmitted only to wireless base stations 110-112 where the mobile communication terminal 101 is waiting with high probability thus preventing increase in traffic and lessening the load on the network.
