PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular sensor for water level observation-cum-water level control to simplify water level observation and water level control on water stored in a water receiving tank, and to provide the water receiving tank equipped with the sensor disposed therein. SOLUTION: This tubular sensor 1 for water level observation concurrent with water level control is erected along a peripheral wall surface 20 of the water-receiving tank 2, and equipped with a communicating connection port 3A to a lower part of the receiving tank on its lower end. Its body part is constituted of a transparent tube, and the body part is structured, by providing a plurality of electrodes 4 for water level control at prescribed spaces from below to above, through a tube wall 10. Further, the receiving tank with the tubular sensor, disposed thereon for water level observation concurrent with water level control is structured, by communicatingly connecting the tubular sensor and the lower end of the sensor to the lower part of the receiving tank, and by making the body part of the sensor 1 erected along the wall surface 20 of the receiving tank.
