PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a ceramic heater even when stress is applied to a shaft and the ceramic heater in a ceramic glow plug with the ceramic heater and the shaft connected by a ring like member. SOLUTION: In the ceramic heater 30, its rear end portion and a tip portion of the shaft 20 are connected by the ring member 21. One portion of the shaft 20 is narrowly machined to form a stress releasing part 26. By forming the stress releasing part 26, even when stress is applied to the shaft 20 and the ceramic heater 30, the stress is absorbed by bending the stress releasing part 26, and breakage of the ceramic heater 30 can be avoided. By providing the stress releasing part 26, even when coaxiality is deviated in connection of the shaft 20 and the ceramic heater 30, assembly with a subject fitting 10 can be facilitated by bending the stress releasing part 26.
