PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an exhaust gasket for an engine at low cost. SOLUTION: The exhaust gasket 43 for the engine is embedded in a connecting part of an exhaust port of the engine in order to seal the connecting part and an exhaust pipe. The exhaust gasket 43 is provided with a circular inner peripheral wall part 51 and side wall parts 52, 53 integrated with the circular wall part and an annular housing groove 55 is formed in the interior portion. A core material 56 made of mesh materials such as a stainless steel thin line and the like is built in the housing groove 55 and the core material 56 is provided with a plurality of projection parts 57 which project in the radial direction outwardly and which press the inner peripheral wall part of the connecting part and when the exhaust gasket 43 is inserted into the exhaust port of the engine, the projection part 57 is elastically deformed into the axial direction and the exhaust gasket 43 is fixed to the connecting part of the exhaust port.
