PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently suppress degradation of seal of an exhaust sensor, in protection structure of the exhaust sensor. SOLUTION: An exhaust sensor 30 is disposed to a casing 14a of a catalytic converter 14. A protective cover 50 is held between the casing 14a of the catalytic converter 14 and a hexagonal head part 32b. The protective cover 50 is in a shallow pan shape, and is provided with a mounting seat part 52, a cylinder part 54 and a flared part 56, and the protective cover is spaced from the exhaust sensor 30 with a predetermined interval. A tip of the flared part 56 is positioned on a sensor rear end side, in a sensor shaft direction, more than a mounting position of packing 40 to the hexagonal head part 32b, and is at approximately the same position, in the sensor shaft direction, as a position of a tip part of a protective cylinder 38.
