PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of setting a storage system in a suitable security level according to a time zone, and facilitating the setting irrespective of the number of users. SOLUTION: According to the storage system, a security level of the user is identified based on a card ID of the user and a user-specific information table, and accessible cabinet numbers (availability of each cabinet) according to the security level are determined based on the identified security level and a security level-specific information table. Then the availability of each cabinet 10 is finally determined based on a result of the determination, and locking operation and canceling operation of a locking/unlocking device 20 are controlled based on a result of the final determination.
