PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for uniformly applying a treating agent to a string product by a dyeing apparatus. SOLUTION: An endless string product 4 is circulated in a closed container 1 by a Venturi conveying nozzle system 6 in which gaseous conveying medium is fed. At this time, a liquid treating agent stored in a space separated from the string product without coming into contact with the string product acts on the string product.
