PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the improvement of the incorrectness in the detection of a dangerous iron piece, the improvement of the strength in a copper based alloy as an alternate material and the correcting of the detection in the danger matter under the consideration that, since, particularly in the production of clothes for shape retaining, the conventional constitutional material of a sewn product uses stainless steel fiber, in the detection of harmful matter such as the tip broken piece of a needle, a needle detector causes malfunction, and, for its correct detection and removal, there is trouble, and, the whole productivity is reduced, and, further, new technology that an iron button or the like is replaced with a copper product so as to improve this problem has been proposed, but, as a copper alloy instead of stainless steel, its strength is insufficient, and there is a problem for the shape retaining. SOLUTION: The copper based alloy reinforcing wire as the constitutional material for a sewn product is a deformed wire used as the reinforcing material of a sewn product, and has a metallic composition comprising, by weight, 23 to 25% zinc, 17 to 18% nickel and 0.2 to 0.4% manganese, and the balance copper with inevitable impurities. In this invention, as the material for retaining the shape of clothes, a nonmagnetic copper based alloy having high strength is adopted, and the presence of a harmful matter such as a needle can be correctly detected.
