PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction leveling method of a thick steel plate in which the yield point of a hot thick steel plate lowered by reduction leveling can be inexpensively restored with high productivity. SOLUTION: The hot thick steel plate 1 rolled by a rolling mill 10 is subjected to the reduction leveling at a temperature at which aging occurs or below and at a draft of 0.1-1.0% and is then heated within a range of the temperature at which aging occurs or above and below the AC1 transformation point, and therefore, the yield point of the hot thick steel plate lowered by the reduction leveling can be inexpensively restored with the high productivity.
