FIELD: mechanical engineering, particularly to create or upgrade hydraulic presses used in pipe tests. ^ SUBSTANCE: press comprises front and rear fixed cross-arms connected with each other by columns, intermediate cross-bar, front head with sealing unit to supply liquid into pipe to be tested, movable cross-arm, main and additional cylinders. Rear head with sealing unit and air-discharge orifice are installed in movable cross-arm. The air-discharge orifice is adapted to discharge air during pipe filling with test fluid. The press also has replaceable insert having cylindrical extensions and sealing rings located at ends thereof and mating depressions created on front head and sealing unit. If pipe with reduced length is tested length of replaceable insert is increased for ▵l value equal to difference between maximal and reduced pipe lengths from which main cylinder stroke length is subtracted. Intermediate cross-bar is rigidly connected with the front cross-arm by means of tie members through baffle members having axes spaced apart towards column axes. Pipe removers adapted to remove pipe from sealing unit are installed in horizontal plane from intermediate cross-bar sides, wherein pipe removers may remove pipes having any diameter within pipe diameter range suitable to be tested by above press. ^ EFFECT: increased reliability and press maintainability, decreased size and mass of front cross-arm. ^ 4 cl, 6 dwg, 1 ex |
