<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an imidazolium salt exhibiting liquid state in a temperature range near normal temperature and having low reduction potential. <P>SOLUTION: The molten salt is produced by selecting a cation expressed by formula (1) (R<SP>11</SP>and R<SP>13</SP>are each a 1-4C alkyl; one of R<SP>12</SP>, R<SP>14</SP>and R<SP>15</SP>is a 1-4C alkyl and the other two groups are each a hydrogen atom or a 1-4C alkyl) and an anion expressed by<SP>-</SP>N(CORf<SP>1</SP>)(SO<SB>2</SB>Rf<SP>2</SP>) (Rf<SP>1</SP>and Rf<SP>2</SP>are each independently a perfluoroalkyl group which may contain an ether bond) and combining the cation with the anion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
