PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sterilizing a bottle in a normally standing posture with reducing the amount of a sterilizer used as much as possible and eliminates the influence of steam on the bottle such as deformation, and a sterilization device.

SOLUTION: The sterilization device is equipped with a nozzle 30 having individual passages for the sterilizer, compressed air and steam for simultaneously jetting the compressed air and the sterilizer to atomize the sterilizer and blow out into a bottle 20 and a steam nozzle 50 constituted so as to heat and sterilize the mouth and the outside of the container neck part of the container by blowing out the steam to the container neck part after heating the sterilizer and the compressed air before being spurted.
