<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply image data of an optimal data amount to another apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: If a maximum transfer rate of a PDA 91 is 1.5 Mbps, a portable telephone set 1 judges that a maximum communication rate with the PDA 91 is low, performs control to reduce a data amount of moving image data to be fetched in a CCD and supplies the fetched moving image data to the PDA 91. The PDA 91 displays a low-quality moving image 93 on a display section. If the maximum transfer rate of the PDA 91 is 480 Mbps, a CPU performs control so as not to reduce the data amount of the moving image data to be fetched in the CCD and supplies the fetched moving image data to the PDA 91.
