<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device wherein a diffuser of high diffusion reflection efficiency is easily manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: This light source device 2 is provided with: a light source 4; a diffuse transmission plate 6 provided in front of the light source 4; and the diffuser 8 provided between the light source 4 and the diffuse transmission plate 6. The diffuser 8 has a main body part 36, and a pair of side plate parts 40 extended respectively from both side end parts 38, the first folding recess parts 56 are provided respectively in connection parts 38 between the main body part 36 and the pair of side plate parts 40, the diffuser 8 is formed by folding respectively the pair of side plate parts 40 inwards along the first folding recess parts 56, and a pair of side plate parts 18 of the diffuser 8 is formed into a tapered shape with a width-directional space therebetween getting wide toward a diffuse transmission plate 6 side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
