PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice input/output device capable of appropriately picking up voices of a user in any arbitrary posture so as to talk in a free posture. SOLUTION: A plurality of unit devices DU (i, j) sharing a function as a microphone and a function as a speaker and capable of switching control to validate any one of these functions are disposed in a planar pattern. A controller 200 generates an ultrasonic wave using a function as the speaker of the plurality of distributed unit devices, collects reflection sounds of the ultrasonic wave using the function of the microphone of the plurality of remaining distributed unit devices, selects one or more unit devices corresponding to a position of the mouth of the user based on a result, and operates the selected unit device as a microphone.
