PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus which can perform recording in an accurate position even if the recording apparatus is not provided with a sensor. SOLUTION: This recording apparatus comprises a recording means for performing recording on a recording medium, a recording control means for controlling the recording means, a carrying support means for mounting the recording medium, a carrying means for carrying the carrying support means, and a carrying control means for controlling the carrying means. Characteristically, the recording apparatus has a control means for performing control so as to compute a recording position on the basis that the carrying support means abuts on a predetermined position in the recording apparatus.
