PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic imaging diagnostic apparatus wherein the mechanical structure of an insertion part is simple, an outside diameter can be lost, three-dimensional scan density is even, and three-dimensional data can be obtained correctly. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe which is inserted into the body cavity of a living body and obtains echo data by emitting and receiving ultrasonic sounds on a site to be tested by an ultrasonic vibrator which is placed at the tip, a magnetic source which generates a magnetic field around the ultrasonic probe, one or multiple magnetic sensors which detect the magnetic field which is generated from the magnetic source are provided. While at least one of the magnetic sources or the magnetic sensors is placed on the tip of an insertion part of the ultrasonic probe, at least one of the magnetic sources or the magnetic sensors which is different from the one which is placed on the tip of the insertion part of the ultrasonic probe is provided on a fixing means which is fixed and placed on the body of a subject.
