PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a Bayer deviated pixel array that in only a case restricted to a, photographic subject of achromatic color, high resolution can be obtained as compared with a Bayer array. SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging device comprises a matrix form of two-dimensional arrangement of the pixels containing photoelectric transducers, and a color filter containing a color component G which becomes the main ingredients when making a brightness component and other color components R and B arranged on the surface of the pixels. With respect to spatial frequency characteristics, R and G are arranged at every row and at every column so that the sampling rate of horizontal/vertical direction may be the rate of 1/2 to G. Furthermore, each circumference of R and G is surrounded with G so that G may exist in all the rows and in all the columns. Accordingly, the spatial frequency characteristics are raised in consideration of human visibility characteristics with high sensitivity of G. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
