PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control cooling water in a heat storage tank at the stop of an engine. SOLUTION: An engine ECU executes a program including a step (S110) of stopping the engine when idling stop conditions are established (Yes in S108) in the case of (during) the supply of cooling water in the heat storage tank to the engine; a step (S112) of estimating the quantity of cooling water (the supply quantity of cooling water) L flowing out of the heat storage tank; a step (S122) of stopping the supply of cooling water when the cooling water supply quantity L is smaller than a threshold value L(0) (No in S114); and a step (S116) of continuing the supply of cooling water when the cooling water supply quantity L is the threshold value L(0) or more (Yes in S114).
