PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle equipped with a heat storage system for maintaining the temperature of a combustion chamber of an engine to an appropriate temperature. SOLUTION: An engine ECU 1000 controls an electric pump 300, a flow control valve 430 and a three-way valve 600 to carry out supply and supply stop of a liquid medium in a heat storage tank 310 to the engine so that the temperature of the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine does not reach a predetermined upper limit temperature. The engine ECU 1000 supplies cold water recovered into the heat storage tank 310 from a passage at the start of the engine, to the engine in the case of detecting a high load state. A threshold temperature which is an upper limit temperature target value of cooling water which passed the combustion chamber is determined within a temperature range where knocking is not generated to the engine, corresponding to the load state of the engine. The engine ECU 1000 regulates radiating capacity of a radiator 400 or the like and uses cooling water in the heat storage tank according to the load state of the engine so as not to exceed the threshold temperature.
