PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a single window and a multi-window for optimizing TV viewing in a multi-window environment.

SOLUTION: This application execution apparatus for executing an application program including a window display function by receiving a broadcasting wave (TS) on which the application program is superimposed comprises: a TS receiving means for receiving the broadcasting wave; a TS analyzing means for analyzing the received broadcasting wave to extract and store the layout information of the superimposed application program; a judgement means for executing the application program and determining whether or not the size of a display window is made equal with or smaller than the size of a predetermined value contained in the layout information by the executed application program; and a display switching means for switching the window into multi-window display if it is determined by the determination means that the window size becomes equal with or smaller than the size of the predetermined value.
