<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which high precision exposure control can be realized quickly based on a high precision signal take-out timing parameters calculated by a small scale arithmetic circuit from a mixture electrical signal of an electrical signal derived from linear conversion and an electrical signal derived from logarithmic conversion. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises an imaging regulation means, an imaging element having photoelectric conversion characteristics consisting of a linear characteristic region outputting an electrical signal while converting linearly and a logarithmic characteristic region outputting an electrical signal while converting logarithmically, a signal processing section including an exposure processing control section, a control section, a linearization section and a compression section, an elongating section, a luminance calculating section for coarse control, a luminance calculating section for fine control, a parameter calculating section for coarse control, a parameter calculating section for fine control, and a parameter selecting section, wherein the control section sets a signal take-out timing parameter selected at the parameter selecting section in the exposure processing control section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
