PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a cellulose acylate film having good surface properties by peeling the cellulose acylate web, which is cast on a support when the film is formed by a solution film forming method, in a short time.

SOLUTION: When the cellulose acylate web is formed using cellulose acylate characterized in that the degree of substitution of a 3C or 4C acyl group thereof to the hydroxy group of cellulose is 1.0-3.0, the elastic modulus of the web is adjusted to 6-12 MPa when the residual amount of a solvent to the mass of cellulose acylate is 100 mass%.
