PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a mobile terminal can not deal with an additional function other than a call function, a malfunction may be caused by speech path switching or it is not easy to use the mobile terminal since an operating key is required for calling during execution of an additional function. SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 1 includes: an internal microphone 106; a speaker 107; a jack 105A to which an external earphone microphone 4 is attachably and detachably connected; an earphone detection means 105 for detecting connection of the earphone microphone 4; and a transmitting/receiving section 101 for transmitting or receiving a calling signal of one of them. If the connection of the earphone microphone 4 is detected, an input/output route of a calling signal to the transmitting/receiving section 101 is switched, in accordance with a result of the detection, from the side of the internal microphone 106 and the speaker 107 to the side of the earphone microphone 4. Thus, call processing is executed but if a video reproducing mode of a reproduction processing section is maintained at such a time, a user is not forced to do an excessive operation. If a call arrival indication is not superimposed in a motion picture display area, the user watching a motion picture is easily notified of call arrival without disturbance of the appreciation of the motion picture.
