PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing device for suppressing the reversing vibration of a rotating shaft. SOLUTION: On a housing 16 provided on the side of a fixed member, a cylindrical bearing body 15 is held displaceably in the peripheral direction. The bearing body 15 is externally fitted to the rotating shaft 4 and its inner peripheral face has free slide contact with the rotating shaft 4. A plurality of spring members 18 are provided for buffering the reaction of the rotating shaft 4 when rotated. The spring members 18 allow the bearing body 15 to be displaced to a rotating direction B of the rotating shaft 4 with the friction against the rotating shaft 4 and give energizing force to the bearing body 15 to be returned to the opposite direction to the rotating direction B.
