PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing yarn by using a yarn as raw material and opening the yarn with a rotor type open end fine spinning frame and to provide a yarn produced by the method. SOLUTION: The yarn is produced by using the rotor type open end fine spinning frame set to have≥0.05 mm of the space between a feed roller 2 and a presser 3 at a collector 1 which is a fiber bundle feeding port on the fine spinning frame, and 3 kg/m<SP>2</SP>of pressure of the presser 3, and feeding fiber bundle with≥7 g composed of a sliver with≤51 mm of fiber length and threads comprising 0.6 g/6 yd of fibers with≤51 mm of fiber length to the collector 1, to produce 3 s to 40 s of yarns.
